This is an extremely useful layout for any shop. Could this be made with standard pegboard? It looks like the holes are on 1" centers. There are endless uses for this concept. Thanks for sharing-and the photos are pro!

I think pegboard would be to thin. The holes are slightly larger than 1/4 inch so I. Can get the dowels in and out easily. My first one had 1/4 inch holes. I got tired of needing pliers to get the dowels out. Its not a precision tool so its easy fo make.

The holes are on 1 iinch ccenters. I found that the BC plywood would tend to delaminate if they were closer.

Th holes are drilled with a brad point bit where the point just comes through for maximum stability and to keep the dowels from falling out if you lift it.
