This is beautiful Lloyd. A friend of mine was over to my house yesterday who is an Apache helicopter pilot for the Army. He is on active duty, flies regularly and is so excited about your design. We all love it. Great work!

Thank John
Your friend as got the best job of all I would love to get in the Apache Helicopter or any Army Air plane. I know sometimes is not good for them in the Army but they do get to drive some nice machines. Many years go I made about 40 RC Air plane from 3ft to 15ft wingspan I made jets to and still got them in England.
I would go and fly them on Sunday afternoon.
Not got much to do now just make propeller and sand it and clean and shape the top for the propeller to sit on I not sand to day the hardwood makes it dirty when sanding.

Hi Lloyd,

We would all enjoy seeing some photos and details about your airplane models you built. If you have time and can find the photos please make a new topic and share your experiences with us. Model airplane builders are a type of super-advanced toymakers and I know that we are going to learn a lot from you in the future about handcrafting models and toys.

Hi John
I would love to show you photos of my RC airplane models I do not have here in Thailand but I will ask my daughter to try send for me they are on my other computer back in England. I  did take many photos of making them to. And I have been thinking of making more here in Thailand where live very good for flying them.

More or less done now bit more sanding and again not going to guns on and only put one propeller on my wall shelf not very big and I reduce the scale by 1/3 of the size want it should be about 12 in now should be about 18 in all and I did the same with Commando Helicopter reduce the scale by 1/3.
And as you can see on the photo got more project on the go
of Nat and her daughter. Nat birthday soon and need to get them finished and still got bit to do on them.

Well done Lloyd, by any chance will it be easier for you to get finishing materials at your new home location?

Thanks Bucko & George

Where  I am now ok for finishing materials before where I lived not very good to find wood . They is a man here want comes to sell second hand wood. And maybe about 20 min drive to get paint and sand paper. Before it would take me about 2 hour drive to get wood far away from the city.

Lloyd,

The helicopter looks amazing! I really like the contrasting wood colours. Are you going to use a varnish or are you rather going to go for a wax or oil? None the less, I think it is going to look great.

Regards

Dolf

Thanks Dolf
Not sue Dolf what to do with them maybe I try wax or oil or just Polyurethane them but not going to do them yet waiting for get more made and I got two more projects I working on so I will do all of them at the same time and going to start on the next helicopter in about one or two week. This time keeping it to scale it is hard work when scale them the parts are very small and hard to make with this hard wood.

This is a fine example of design Lloyd. Is this a scale model of an existing helicopter or is this one of your own design? If a scale model, what is it? Thanks-John
