Made using Oak and Ash - had to use wood stains for the ball and dark part of the body as I didn't have any suitable wood for those parts - I think it turned out OK

GREAT! I have that same book and did the gold fish! My skills on the Scroll saw are....being developed...LOL. I want to do more of this type of work, thanks for posting Alan.

I use a pheumatic sander attachment on a drill press, disc sander, a dremel sander and just sand paper and block. I then use a flap sander which gives it nice smooth finish.

well done, I am half way through doing a rabbit, been at it  a while though must get back to it
