I have just finished my 1st a go at ribbon boxes, the ribbon on the large box I made 1st, then discovered it was too big for my small box, so had to make a bigger box to take the large ribbon, then to make the small ribbon for the smaller box, the large on is made from camphor laurel, and the other is pine   the ribbons are English Elm20170330_095453.jpg  20170331_103021.jpg

wow,
these came out very nice. I have a couple of plans for these types of boxes, but have stayed away from them for now.
I think i need to go back and look at them again.

To be honest, it's really incredible!
Your work seems delicate and you must spend a large number of time on it .

When making this work,what kind of woodshop tools do you use?

thanks for the kind words,the only tool I use is my scroll saw, and hand sanding, and then oiled with orange tung oil  and I spent about 1 week making them
