I've got 2 to show the Forum, the Scrollsaw Magic Commando Helicopter and the Scrollsaw Commando Mustang. Both were great builds to make and the Mustang has a great look with only 7 key parts.
The wood I used is from my stock of a Sassafras board and a bit of Poplar along with repurposed Oak. These were both great and fast builds to make and the opening canopy on both are a bonus along with the feature of the front gun on the Helicopter rotates. co1_opt.jpg  co3_opt.jpg  co4.JPG co2_opt.jpg  commander1_opt.jpg  commander2_opt.jpg  copter1_opt.jpg  copter2_opt.jpg

Very nice.

Does the Sassafras smell like root beer when you cut it?

This has been the best week ever for the forum. And this series of posts is one of the reasons why. When it comes to wood toy helicopters these are just the coolest things ever. I want a set!

These are great.  Love the natural wood.  I had not seen the mustang built, thanks for showing it off.

Thanks so very much for the replies, I must say though after looking at the Commado Mustang several times it is impressive on the great looks from such few components. Sad to say my stash of misc. wood pieces is dwindling but I've got ideas in motion on restocking some repurposed material which is part of the fun of the find.
