I made this one for a friend and he was delighted with it...

Your scrolling skills are really precise.  What blade size and what brand of scroll saw are you using? What type of wood is it and is the wood extremely hard?

John the wood is just poplar. I used a water based stain as I was learning and playing when I did this one.
There where more veining cuts but I at the time did not know what they where called or how to make them correctly. LOL
The blade was most likely 5 or number 7UR as I tend to use #5,  #7, or #9 (for thicker wood)

Scroll saw is a Dewalt 788 which was an upgrade from my Sears Craftsmen.

Really nice. I have been a bike rider since age 15, am now 64. Still love bikes. I am just learning scroll sawing. I have a Dewalt 788.
