Looking good Peter.

What type of blade did you put on your band saw?

I got one that is smaller so I can cut curves better but as yet have not used it. I keep doing rough cut stuff and don't want to change the blade back and forth [frown]

I am using a a rough 6 teeth per inch blade
I cut within a 1/4 inch of the drawing and the remaining timber i will be sanding
To get the rockers the same shape i drilled a dowel into either end of the rockers smaller than the 3/4 inch so they lined up perfect and sanded both at the same time

1935379_639146272892136_8300113078434603171_n.jpg I finally got a start on gluing rockers after sanding
I routed a small curve on all the squared edges to soften the look

Very nice work and the wood bins in the glue up picture are a gold mine for our type of projects.

Can't wait see the finished paint job. That's a nice layer of primer that you applied. What type of prep and paint did it require?

The main, tail and harness are a wonderful addition, as are the glossy big eyes and rocker buttons. This is really a beautiful rocking horse.
