Hello All,
My son showed me a pic of a baby climber he wanted me to make.  It is two triangles, with  about a 36" base x 32" height, with a number of 36"x1" dowels connecting them.  In the pic it appears to be constructed of 1"x4" hardwood.  I don's have the ability to use the furniture connectors used in the pic, but plan to use pocket screws.  My concern is about the stability of the climber.  It will have 12 dowels in pockets, I am worried about it racking side to side.  I would have much more confidence in the plan if it were constructed of 2"X4"s.  Am I wrong to worry?  Thanks to all.

Couldn't post a pic, however, I found out that it is called a Pikler Triangle.  I googled that and found many plans using 1x s.   I guess my worries were unfounded.
Thanks any ways,
