Here's my story on making a doll house the day my niece was born.
Took 5 years to build - the attached pdf explains why and shows my results.
Hope you like it.

This is beautifully done Udie. Works of love are always the most fun. I have a special place in my heart for doll houses and this one is a real beauty. I really like the selection of dolls you found for this scale. That is a miracle find. Wow!

I love it! I like how you did the cut outs, so your niece will be able to reach around the whole room.

I would like to thank all my fellow toymakers for their wonderful comments on the doll house.
Yes it was a labour of love and really did not matter how much time was spent or the cost.
It's just one of those projects that has no limits.

If I had all the parts, time frame would have been shorter.
But - if I had all the parts, it would just be building a kit.

Having missing parts is what attracted me to purchasing the garage sale box in the first place.
Needed a challenge, and as you can see ... it was a challenge.

My reword - a big smile, a big hug and kiss - that's all that is needed.

I sent a link to some non forum members that had asked me about doll houses in the past. The response was very positive.

I'm not a doll house person myself but I like this one a lot.

Udie missed this one better late than never I love the house great work and good design I love the fencing at the front as well.
I used to make some years back with stair cases fire places and hard wood windows and lights and I don't have a picture to show you but will if I find one.
My wife complained they took up to much space in the house they were four feet high and three foot wide and then I saw a lady selling flat pack houses with plastic windows and glue for £125 ea and I gave up.They took me three months to build from pictures of old Victorian houses Now we have a Grand Daughter I know what's coming next.
