I bought one of these that turned up on Craigs List in my area. I didn't steal it. I checked around to see what they were selling for used and made him an offer of a what I thought was a fair price. $550.

I tested it for excessive vibration and cut a car body out of a 2x4 with it using one of my own blades. Works great.

He probably would have taken less but that's about what it would cost me to buy a used one off Craigs List.

He told me it only had about 20 hours of run time on it and I don't doubt it after watching him do a blade change. There was a Hegner scroll saw in the corner and he said there were others he could use and was getting rid of ii so he would have a place for his new lathe which was sitting there next to it.

Now my problem is selling the old stuff.

Anyone in my area interested in a 16 inch AMT scroll saw? [smile]

I got to cut a little with it. I can follow the lines much better than with the other saws. I really like the way the blade tension is set and the steel table. I finally have a place to mount my magnet mount lights.

It is amazing the difference in the vibration from other saws. The tilting head rather than the table is also nice. My light/magnifying glass is attached on the side. Just my two nickels as we don't have pennies any more lol.

I have both the Ex21 and the Ex30 - excellent pieces of kit and with the right blades will cut 50mm (2") as easily as my bandsaws [biggrin]
