Hi All,

So here is my first attempt at making wooden toys for my son.  I started with the Famous Mercedes Lorry and pretty happy with the results, having learned a lot from the build i would make a few changes to the design next time but over all it was a fun build!

Hi.  Build looks good. How do you aim to finish it. Paint or natural finish. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the encouragement, @kenbod planing on leaving it natural, i have applied some of Cynthia's Bees wax to it and would like to add something else to help protect a little any suggestions?

Fine lookin truck.

Welcome to the Forum and thanks for sharing.

You mentioned that you would make a few changes to the design next time.
There are a few of us on the forum here that do that, so please keep us posted with any modifications etc.

Quite often I do it to suit tools or timbers that I have, or just to make a change for the fun of it.

Cheers

will do, have an order of two trucks from a friend and was thinking of having the tray on pivots so it can be a dump truck, and my son managed to break the exhaust pipes so was thinking about adding more supports from the back of the cab. Also i think i would have the dowel in the sides of the tray not extrude out of the top or the bottom and just drill half way down so they are more hidden.  Will post pics showing what i mean once complete!
