Thanks to all of you for the mirrors feedback. The mirrors will not be on the final. I agree that it detracts both from the durability and from the aesthetics of the design.

I will try to get some cord today and rig the boom cranks. More later!

Think of the mirrors as options John .Up to the builder to decide .
Model or Toy?

Looks good either way

This is the final prototype of the Mercedes Lorry Tow Truck. To honor Leftfinger the mirrors stay as an option. After a nap break I am going to start putting together a multi-wood tone and a painted version. Thanks for all the input. It really helps to refine the designs as a team.

Hi
just wanted to say i think the trucks are fantastic, would love to get the wood finishes you have on my projects.
Could i ask are these images computer generated or are they real photo's of you actual work pieces.
Graham.

Thanks Graham. Yes, these particular trucks are computer generated. I first design and render the toy in Fusion 360 software and work out all the details for the plan sets. I then print out the patterns from Fusion 360 for test building in my workshop.

Thanks johndress. I appreciate the feedback. Which 2 x 4 truck are you referring to? Could you post the product name or photo and I will consider some new models for those, too.
