I suspect bandsaw boxes may be old hat to many here but I just found out about them and trying one made a nice wee diversion after all the pattern following with the arks 😉

Far from perfect but an interesting process and one I aim to try again and I'll have this in mind when I get a chance to follow up on the lead I have for some local Scottish hardwoods. Feels like a way to maybe use some bits with too much "character" for toys.

The back seam is too obvious but that was a stupid mistake - I hand sanded the back when it was off and of course rounded the edges a little so the parts didn't mate as they should have.

Wood is sapele and oak left over from the arks, the drawer pull is a piece of beach glass we found with our grandadughters.

The flocking (another new technique) looks rough because it isn't fully dry yet so there is some excess in places.

Wouldn't believe it was your first attempt.  Thinking about making some for ages, you now inspire.
