Heat-Treating Wheels, Tinting Wheels and even Cooking Wheels
All the names refer to the same process.
In a previous  posting on the Forum, I posted an introduction to heat-treating wood titled "Heat-Treating Pine - Test 1".
In that post I demonstrated the results of heat-treating at 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute intervals and presented a cross-sectional view of one of the pieces of wood to show you that the wood it not only surface treated but throughout the thickness of the piece.

This post is focused on the method and results of "Heat-Treating Purchased Wheels".
Again, a common countertop toaster oven will be used and the results shown at the 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute intervals with a brief discussion of the results.

Results will be shown on four (4) different diameter wheel sizes and from multiple suppliers.
