I love the finish, Bob. Personally, I prefer the plain or shellac type finishes over the painted finishes. It really sets off the nice grain of the timber.

Wish I could use a better word than 'nice' [rolleyes]

I prefer the amber shellac to the clear because I think it does a better job of popping the grain.
