Cynthia and I visited Ken and Susie Martin in Santa Maria, California and made this video about their new toymaking venture. Ken and Susie are making great headway with their new business by staying focused on their customers and by providing great customer service. We had a wonderful time and are really impressed with the unbelievable quality and output of Ken and his garage based toy factory.

Great work Ken!

Outstanding video John and Cynthia [thumb]. It was a real treat to see Ken and his darling wife Susie talk about their toys and business. Ken is quite a natural speaker when he describes his toys. It was great to see Ken and Susie taking their toys with them when they go out.  Now we can appreciate and understand the attention he receives by doing that.
Brilliant phrase "We build toys that kids love and parents Trust".
Two thumbs up on this one [thumb][thumb]!

Thank you Cindy, Udie, and Jespeto
I look at all the great work shown here on the forum and realize how far I have to go still.
It is encouraging to know the people I look up to think I am doing all right sometimes.
Thanks again

Hi Ken,
   Great video. I loved watching it. Good job on the presentation and you didn't appear nervous at all. Quite natural. You really came across as loving your work and very enthusiastic. Your wife, Susie, is a great support and companion in your work. I was curious hoping you would share how you came up with your name "FuzzyDuck". Thanks for the encouragement you gave to everyone![smile]

Hi Frank.

You ask about the name fuzzy duck.

Years ago in another lifetime which Susie calls BS before Susie, I used to drive a truck for a living.
On my first training run with another driver we were looking for a place to eat on a back road one day, and saw a little sign that said Café ahead. When we got to the café it was really a broken down caved in barn.
However, you could barely see the sign on the front door that said fuzzy duck café. My trainer at the time started calling me the fuzzy duck and it has stayed with me for over 40 years now.

Not a very glamorous story, but when Susie and I started to make toys and wanted to sell the toys the dioramas the wood products, and the Swedish weaving we thought the name might fit and could be used again. So we added creations too fuzzy duck and there you have fuzzy duck creations.

Thanks for asking Frank.

Ken;
   Was this also you CB handle .... Mine was the Soldier or the Agitator. I don't miss the time I was on the road, just miss a little being in the cab ... sitting at a lunch counter and the smell of diesel floating in the air on a cold morning 35 OTR driver.
