For the upcoming Christmas I decided to make something different from all the cars and trucks. King Arthur Dragon is totally made of reclaimed wood: Teak (son’s old coffee table), beech and pine (son’s floor).

The dragon needs to be finished with wax or oil.

A nice project for in between. And of course another fine plan made by John!

Beautiful made Miriam,

may I suggest Danish or Tung oil?
Those give a very nice finish to the object and are non-toxic but I suppose you know that.

Nicely done. I'm not a big fan of oil and wax finishes but, I find it next to impossible to get anything else to look as good as I would like on the 3D/Layered animals.

How did you get the tongue to stay put?

Thank you.

Oil or especially beeswax is my favourite as I use solid wood for my projects.
I have decided not to paint anymore as I love the natural colors of the wood.

The tongue has been glued with Titebond Quick & Thick. I purchased a bottle after reading about it here on the forum. Wasn’t that your tip? 😄

Very nice! It's always good when you can use reclaimed wood. I'm going to have to get some Titebond Quick and Thick for some of my projects.

I wanted to know if the pattern for this is one of John and Cynthia's patterns?  If so, which set is it from?  Thanks rdredge

Yes, it is John’s. He posted it for free on the forum for members only a couple of years ago.

Maybe John wants to post it again?
If not I can send you a copy.

Hello  Miriam,

is it an idea to fix the tongue with a 'cocktailprikker' and a littlebit glue?

And pse don't mind my saying, but I believe it is not allowed to give copies of drawings, not even free ones. just my two cents

Perhaps John will post the dragon again??

Yes, I have thought about doing that.
But the glue works fine so I have decided it is good enough.

I do not share the plans I bought, I know it is not allowed.
In this case Kenneth Smith asked John if he still has the plan but it is lost.
So I will share my copy with a member of the forum to be posted again.

Morning Kenneth,

in the passed, there was a possibility via the profile to contact (a) menber(s) via e-mail, that is their e-mail-addresses where visible.

Perhaps, is that an option which can become back at the forum?
