Mini Rocking Horse 1.jpg Mini Rocking Horse 2.jpg Mini Rocking Horse 3.jpg

Hi All,
I designed this little rocking horse for a friends grand daughter that wanted a horse for her "cowboy bear".
The horse is oak and the rockers are walnut. The mane and seat are mahogany. The blanket is purple heart and the harness is cherry.
Hopefully her bear will have fun for years to come.

Great work Brian! What a fun project. What is the overall size? It looks like it  might work with the popular American Girl and other 18" dolls.

John,
The rockers are 14" long and the horse is 10" in height.

That is a perfect size for the 18" dolls. I think you have a hit on your hands!

Very nicely done Brian. I bet the grand daughter will really love it as well as her bear  LOL

The different woods work well together.

Hey Fan1950,
That's a beautiful rocking horse. Your grand child is very lucky and I'm sure he/she will enjoy for a long time.
Like John said, please post your build at Plan Set Projects section so that all the members and guests can see it. Thanks for sharing your talent.
