Need to clean the table on the new scroll saw. Please advise on what you use to keep the surface clean. Also, what do you use as per the wax. The enclosed manual recommends using a light coat of auto wax to help keep it sleek and clean.

Suggestions?????

Johnson's paste wax. I use it after every session on all my tables. It's cheap. It works well and lubricates as well.

If I want to clean mine I use mineral spirits.

Could this be a problem after cutting your wood the side face down on the table could require painting  and the wax could have transferred onto the wood stopping the paint sticking. Just an observation

I use this on all my saw tables and it's great for the upvc window hinges and latches they fly open when you put this stuff on.

Nice original post topic of which I was reminded of today when I received this email from Klingspor with a product for such an application as asked. http://www.woodworkingshop.com/product/bos1075/
