Hi Friends

I wanted to show the new Mini Constructors Set we just finished for a client. Click on the link above to see the plan set.

This is a fun easy set to build with lots of play value.

The set comes with 6 vehicles and I add a 7th if they buy the whole set.
I like to sell the individual vehicles at $15.00 each, so the set sells for $75.00.  Then they get the 7th vehicle free.  In the photo above the 7th vehicle is the little flat bet with the back hoe sitting on it.

This project was made with very inexpensive wood.  I bought a laminated 2-1/2' x 4' piece of stock, I think they use for shelving.  It was only $24.00 and I will be able to make around 40 to 50 of these vehicles from it.

The paint is all Krylon primer and paints.
I will finish waxing it tonight and be able to ship it out tomorrow.

Forgot to say the little people do not come with the set, but I like to paint one for each vehicle as a bonus gift for my client.  They do not know the people will be included until the open the box.

Hope you like it.

Ken - Your link to the plan set did not work ... so I fixed it for you - Udie

Very nice Ken, I like that set and have it bookmarked in my too-do-list. The pins on the scraper and back hoe really stand out well. I'm thinking another reason I like that set is the people and you did them well also.

Hi Bucko

Thanks for the nice words.
You will like making this set.
One change I made to the plan was to include the pins on both sides of everything.
To me it make them look more balanced.

Again Thanks

Nice Ken.  Nice and bright and glossy.  This is a very fun set and seems to sell at the shows.  Is the width of your shelving board 1".   I had modified my last set to use 1.5" thick (2x4) but if you can get that many vehicles out of the shelving piece it may be worth it to go find some at my store.

Hi friend Cindy

Thanks for the kind words.
The wood used was just over an 1".  About 1-1/4.  Worked great for the set.
Easy to cut with a scroll saw using a #5 blade.

This wood would not be so good if you wanted to make plain wooden toys because the grains are going in different directions, but if you are going to paint it works great.

Again thanks.

Hello my friend! please, What was the paint you used on this project? Because it was very shiny, which you used to give both shine and be so alive that way? It is toxic?

If you can send me a message on reserved in these techniques and ink packaging photos. I thank you!
