Using the basic tractor or truck from the Build Toy Trucks Series I created this oil tanker. Complete with Ip&e logo, ladder, lights, double set of wheels in back.

This was a request from a really good client.

You have a pretty amazing level of skill. And you are great at customization also. This is really a wonderful rig. Thanks for posting. How did you make the tank?

Thanks John. The tank is 2 2x4 laminated. You could use 4x4 but I didn't want to buy a 4x4 just for this. Then I cut the corners on the table saw at about 30°. I used a hand plan to round the corners and sander to round the corners. Lots of sanding.

The ladder was a small strip drilled 3 holes for dowels and then cut it to thin strips so it would be perfectly aligned.

The catwalk on top was a scrap piece that I had that fit . I cut slots at one end to fit the ladder.
