Here are PICs of my finished P40, P47 & F16 fighters.  I really enjoyed making these, I took some liberties, and did much learning.  Thank you for the opportunity to make and share the final products.

How did you shape them? Nice job, think I may tackle a couple of planes.

The shaping is done with a handheld electric dremmel tool w the sanding drum attachment.  They make two sizes and you can purchase multiple sanding grit sheaths.  I mostly use 220 grit.  I begin by making pencil lines on the base wooden piece, I do this to approximate the end shape, then I sand to the lines.  I finish hand sanding to 400 grit.  Then on to paint, assembly, and finish IAW ToyMakingPlans.com suggestions.
