Hi, my name is George Meche and I'm relatively new to the Forum.  I have been making toys from the plans shown on Toymaking Plans for quite some time.  I recently made a full sized P-51 using Pine and Red Oak then sealed it with Cynthia's Bees Wax.
I modified the plans to 60% Original size and made the plane from Maple and Sepella (not sure of the spelling) and finished with Cynthia's Bees Wax.
I plan to make more of the smaller plane to sell at Craft Shows.  This is the perfect size for smaller hands.
I did make the original size plane and painted it Red, White & Blue to look like the photos in the plans.    I
I have attached a picture of the modified plane.  Hope you like it.  I'd appreciate any comments.

Beautiful George.  I like this size and the wood choices really pop with that great finish.  Did you have any trouble matching the canopy curve with the rest of the plane curve?

Well done, George, well done.

You should try the P-38 Lighting at some point.

Thanks everyone for the compliments.  I'm working on the Superhauler right now.  I'll be sure to post pictures when I get it done.
