Just a little tip.  I paint the tiny thin parts on this 1.5" board.  After a piece of packing tape is applied I put on some double stick tape, one or two strips.  The pieces on put on perpendicular to the double stick tape and usually a little section hanging over the edge to be able to remove easy.   I paint and sand on this and the pieces stay secure.  You can get all the edges.  But most important, they do not break.

I am always fighting when painting small parts.
This will come in handy as i am just  about to paint 6 Famous Mercedes,
that i have been working on for about 8 month lol.
Good time to try it.
