Hello,

Completed the Pirate Ship Madagascar, made it out of pine and cedar.  I was really looking forward to this build and it didn't disappoint, it was a lot of fun.

Thanks for looking,

Chad

Fantastic Chad.
Thanks for sharing the progress shots.

One thing I noticed, it appears you are sticking the plans directly to the timber and then having to use paint thinners to remove them. Try using some clear packing tape on the timber first and then stick the plans to this. When the piece is cut out, the packing tape peels off easily taking the plan with it. Saves a heap of time and the packing tape acts as a lubricant on the blade, which will make them last longer.

Great simple jig for drilling the canon holes down the middle of those dowels. I was wondering how to do these.

Cheers

John, this is Chad's.

I have this plan, but haven't built it yet. I hope to make it as good as Chad has.

Cheers

Ahoy mate,

that is one super fine build. Pictures really do tell a great story and follow along on the build.

I see only 2 things missing LOL canon balls stacked up on the deck and some little pirate...

Thanks for sharing this build ....

Thank you all for the compliments, appreciate it.

Thanks for the tip about the packing tape Rod T, I did spend a lot of time using paint thinner to take off the patterns this time around.  Normally the patterns come off pretty easy but I must off left them on to long.
