I'm  making small ornaments for Xmas from 1/4" birch plywood.  I do not want to paint them. Should I use shellac, lacquer, poly, oil, etc or a combination of these to make the ornaments stand out. Because of size and detail, I'd use a spray can.  Thanks.

Hi Hambone,

We recommend using Krylon Triple Thick Clear in a spray can. It's fast drying and a durable finish that lasts forever. Apply 3-4 light coats. The first 1-2 coats sand between the coats with 220 sandpaper. Sand the 3 coat with 400 grit sandpaper. Then apply the final coat and don't sand.
