Hi all. Here is my first toy from the plans available here. I made the quick and easy horse for my daughter. I'm moving into a larger workshop soon and didn't want to buy any new wood for this project so it's built from a mixture of poplar and rubber wood. I had a lot of glue ups to make the thicker stock which slowed down construction a bit. My daughter chose the colours. I used regular latex house paint followed by a couple of coats of a semi gloss water based poly.20180808_135237.jpg  20180808_135258.jpg  20180808_135329.jpg

She just got it this morning and loves it. A test ride before painting showed that she really needed foot rests and now she can rock it very well. I don't have a drill that matches any dowels I can buy so I drilled a 3/4" hole in the legs and put a matching tenon on the end of the dowel, I did the same for the main handle.
