Seeing this post of yours today has got me all charged up about improving my work space. This is just awesome. We are looking forward to seeing more of your posts about projects you have done and are doing. Are you a professional model maker or toymaker? Do you make toys to sell. It looks like we are all going to learn a lot from you. Just looking around your shop photos is a peek into toymaking heaven!

Thanks John for all your kind remarks. I have always loved working with wood since I was a kid. I had made a couple toys in the past. But when I ran across your Web site last year It got me all fired up. I was sitting on the couch watching basketball the other night. My wife came in the room and said I can't believe your not in the shop. I don't get that much time but I just love working on my toys. Your plans are so good I always want more the wife says I have enough already.I did auto-body repair for 30 yrs. and the last 15 yrs as a casino slot tech. Hoping to retire this year. Then maybe I can make enough toys to sell it will keep me busy with something I love.

Thanks for sharing! My brother taught auto-body tech at a local high school for over 30 years. He founded the classes, designed the shop, wrote the textbooks and taught the classes. He was recruited by the school system because he had a successful auto body and customs shop. So I relate! I worked in Detroit as a designer and have a lot of experience designing and building protos of actual automobiles. The toy gig is my retirement project and I love it. We have a lot in common!

That Lazy Susan idea looks like such great a space saver. I might have to look into this. I am constantly lifting and moving my disk and bobbin sanders. Cheers Rod T
