It's been a long time since I have done any myself. I have a bunch patterns I want to try.

Yes this is also pallet wood.

A few years ago I had unlmited access to a good supply of hardwood pallets. I made a lot of projects with it. Back then I had more time than money. Today I have more money and a lot less time. I would not touch a pallet today unless it was some really nice wood. The pallets we get where I work today are jjunk. There is better wood to be had from mark down pile at Home Depot. Hoever, I still have a lot of pieces and if I can use them in a project I will.
