My six year old loves to build and make things, so I made her her own version of some of the tools I use. The mallet in particular is a hit, and much safer than letting her use one of my heavy ones ! The little dinosaur is a lucet for knitting, which she is learning to use as well.

It can also be called a knitting fork and is basically the precursor to using one of those knitting dollies with the metal pegs, good for handwork and dexterity without handing over pointy sticks to a young child :)
