This is just an FYI.  I was using Valspar spray paint on a Freaky Ford.  It went on very nice and smooth and looked absolutely beautiful. I was concerned about the child safety issue and contacted Valspar. They said their paint does not meet the safety concerns. So, on to finding another good brand.

However, if you are painting a toy NOT for children, this is a really nice paint. It is the Valspar premium finish Micromist spray.

FYI-

All paints and finishes produced in the USA are by law non-toxic when completely dry. Valspar is perfectly safe for all children except infants and toddlers who are teething. And if a child does teethe on the toy it would have to eat the finish off completely and swallow it and a sizeable quantity of the finish would have to be ingested.

Thanks for that clarification. I was not aware of that. I was going by what Valspar told me. I will continue to use it because, to me, it leaves such a nice glossy finish. Thanks again, David
