I find this on this internet. Looks interesting.
Wheel making jig
I am making a half track at the moment and needed jig to cut the treads on the tyres and finding one that someone had used on there’s thought that I needed one which also had adjustment for wheel size as well as be able to accommodate two different machines. The main carriage has to be turned 180deg depending on which machine was to be used as they protruded out of the clamping pieces by differing amounts. The little dark coloured knob is to set the amount it can be tilted. I also added a magnet from an old disc drive for somewhere to hold the spanner. You can see on the jig a trial piece before committing to the wheels and lastly the completed wheels for which it was made. It took a week to make and everything came out of “I’ll keep that just in case box” I feel it was worth the weeks work as it can also be used on other model/toy projects.
