I know this is a month old post. I use to get mine from them as well before they unfortunately stopped trading. I now have turned to making my own like I have done for the Half track I am presently building. I use a lathe most of the time but they can just as well be made with a small disc sanding machine like this One which I also own I find it a great asset in making models and toys. Here are the wheels I am currently making for the half track which came to a stop while I make a jig to cut the tyre treads. The parts of the wheel are not yet glued together in the photo but at this stage there are 10 pieces in each wheel.

This is in the list of the best wood toy wheels that I have seen on the forum. What size is it and could you sometime post a how-to or maybe a youtube video on how you created it? I can can see from this that I have a long way to go to match what you have done here. Thanks so much for sharing.

If you are referring to the half track wheels then at the moment I am making a jig to complete them once done I will certainly do a how to so bear with me. These wheels are quite large at 3"

I seen someone in this forum that used Nylon washers to put on before the wheel then I think they glued the axle peg into the toy. Leaving the wheel to move freely. I would like to know where they purchased the nylon washers. Please be specific if you can. Thanks and have a blessed day... Michael L.

eBay from Chinese sellers. Very inexpensive but takes weeks to get them so stock up.

With Bobs Ebay example cost it’s approximately $30 bucks to try out the washers, Lowes cost to try out is $1 buck. Pretty simple to go for the $ 1 dollar and know the same day you buy them if your interested or not.

I buy in bulk any thing that I use a lot of. It's cheaper an you don't need to keep reordering. The washers don't take much storage room. 500 M4 washers will fit in your hand. You can get much smaller quantities on eBay. A quick look at eBay finds m4 washers for $.99 per ten. Assuming that Lowe's actually has them in stock. $1 for the washers $7.50 (based on AAA) transportation costs. 2 hours to go get them. eBay cost $0.99 and 15 minutes and they show up in your mail box. Make other toys while you wait. For me the most expensive thing about going to Lowe's is the 2 hours out of my life. If you use these you will be amazed at how many you will need. A Play Pal trailer truck uses 10 washers. Cars use four each. Ten cars = 40 washers. I use them every where I have a moving part and the kids can't get them apart.
