I made these two models. One is made from Aspen wood and painted and the other is made from Walnut and Cherry wood.

I like the natural finish and the different grain orientations you used. Both versions look good.

Nice work indeed, I used Cherry on mine also and I've noticed it's been getting to be a slightly darker shade.

Tommy T - Thanks for posting two (2) great projects with two (2) different finishes. Even thou I enjoy painting my projects I am leaning towards the natural wood project as my favorite.

Great toys and so well made. I love the colour scheme and the surfboard touch. It gives them that little bit extra.
