After cutting and trying to piece together the Tail and Stabilizer sections for the P-47, I came up with a modification and employed it when building the P-40.  The Modification combines the two piece stabilizer into one piece (i.e., On the Pattern Detail draw two lines one on the forward edge of the Stabilizer between the two pieces, another 1/2" towards the rear edge). Cut the Stabilizer as one piece.  Similarly, make a reciprocal 1/4" receiver in the tail. P-40 Tail & Stabilizer Modification PIC Seperate.jpg

Next dry fit the Tail and Stabilizer pieces.

Next dry fit into the main plane fuselodge

This completes the build and dry fit of the proposed modification.
